Hawaii Tribune-Herald : Public Works' thwarting of reporters is rescinded
Bloggers like Aaron Stene on the Big Island were recently blackballed by the County of Hawaii’s Department of Public Works. Aaron has blogged for several years on many public works projects and other political items on the Big Island. He is quite thorough and informed.
Government ought to not shut out the voices of their own citizens from any process. They need to be accountable to everyone even if someone asks the hard questions. Often time mainstream media doesn’t do it and it takes new media to open the eyes of both government and the people.
