Baggage Ban on Batteries Begins - New York Times
The U.S. Transportation Dept. will enforce a new ban on lithium batteries aboard passenger airliners starting on January 1. That is bad news if I take more than 1 digital camera, my laptop and other devices that run on these and my spares. It’s going to significantly add to the cost of travel if our batteries are taken away and we are forced to buy new batteries at our travel destinations…. and then either abandon them or ship them back on a separate carrier.
