I went in to the Symposium believing that the rail is an absurd waste of taxpayer dollars and will do nothing to help the needs of the 90 percent of Honolulu’s commuters who travel by car.

I went in knowing that according to Honolulu’s own Alternatives Analysis, rail will not reduce traffic congestion here one bit.

The symposium (sort of an all-day brain washing/cheerleading event) did not change my mind.”
